The playgroup meets in the Community Centre, Monday to Friday during the school term from 9.00 am to 12 noon. The group is a member of the Northern Ireland Pre-School Playgroup Association (NIPPA) which provides training for the staff and insurance cover for the group. Very strict safety rules are applied.

The group can take up to 30 pupils who must be at least 3 years old. Pupils may come full-time, but if coming only part-time, must attend at least 2 days per week. Each day at playgroup costs £2.00 (50 pence per hour).

A varied curriculum of creative play, stories, nature study and structured activities is delivered. The group has excellent facilities and last year was declared an accredited group by NIPPA, showing the high standards attained by the group. In good weather the children may be taken for outdoor activities in the Community Centre grounds.
