Arran School of Irish Dancing

On a Saturday afternoon the Arran School of Dancing meets in the Community Centre from 3.00 pm -5.00 pm from August to June. The school has 55 members, boys and girls, aged 3-14 years or older. Pupils pay £5 per month and learn traditional Irish dancing.

The school enters its pupils for competitions at music festivals in Ballymena, Antrim, Ballycastle, Lame, Ballyclare, Portrush, Portstewart, Limavady and Coleraine, and is always very successful. Pupils wear a royal blue uniform trimmed with pink which they have to buy themselves, along with dance shoes.

In May a class festival is held for the Broughshane group along with the groups from Ballymena and Dunclug.

Anyone wishing to join can come to the Community Centre any Saturday at 3.00 pm.
